Computer Controlled Home Appliance circuit

you can control your home appliances very easily using this circuit. Use ULN2803 for controlling 8 devices. just connect pin-1 of parallel port connector to pin-1 of ULN2803. You will have 8 channels in ULN2803 and 9th pin is ground for that IC.

To Download the Parallel Port Controller software to switch the devices Click here.

The picture you have is of a ULN2003 yet you talk about a ULN2803. Since the printer port is pretty much dead, you and your readers might be interested in a DLP-IO8 data acquisition board. It is USB and has eight I/O right on board. It's is VERY easy to control. I just made the switch - http://sparky3489.webs.com/pcinterfaceproject.htm
